First Annual FFSU Medal Results

Hello, viewers. This is Meredith, we have returned from Beijing, with the final results of what has become a truly epic battle for the Frequent Facebook Status Update Fencing Championship. If you have not been able to follow these games, you have sorely missed out, but you can go the Queen B's site for earlier recaps.

Let me begin with the actual rules that were established so that our viewers can better understand this burgeoning sport.
  1. The competition was between Queen B and Kim1Champ.
  2. They had 24 hours starting Monday, August 25 at midnight to update their Facebook Status.
  3. The event will run from midnight to midnight (all times Mountain) on Monday, August 25th.
  4. Each competitor will post a full list of their status updates at the conclusion of the event to make judging easier (Kim1Champ Status or Queen B Status).
  5. Judges were to enter a Style Value in the score sheet for each Status Update that Kim and Sara make throughout the day.
  6. Style Values should be on a scale from 1.0 to 10.0. Giving scores under 1 or over 10 will result in the disqualification of you as a judge. Style Points should be awarded based on creativity, wittiness, relativeness, and/or funniness.
  7. Judges then send their completed scorecard to the Head Judge, ABBA, no later than 7pm Pacific time on Tuesday, August 26th.
  8. Accepting bribes of any form from either of the contestants will result in immediate disqualification of a judge.
Now that we have the ground rules established, we will go to Dan, the lesser. He has had no life for the past 48 hours as he has followed the post by post action as well as the scoring and calculation. Dan?
Thank you so much Meredith, I appreciate that validation of my life.

Yes, it was a very tense competition. Between the business schedules that both these ladies have to juggle and the early issues that the Queen was having with Facebook, there was concern that the competition may have to be postponed. However, the athletes over came their obstacles and the competition completed without incident. And now for the results that we have all been waiting for....
WOW!! What a close match, but it looks like The Queen came out ahead by just a hair's breadth!!
Mer, you tight lipped, cheek implant, wanna-be, back to you.
Well, thanks Dan. That was quite a race. Sadly, we will have to wait until the next HCBC reunion for the actual medal ceremony. If I'm not mistaken, Jenn Ann is working on her Guitar Hero skills so that she will be able to perform the Queen's anthem.
To all you viewers and judges, thank you so much for the participation. We look forward to the next competition.
This is Meridith and Dan signing off. Good Night.

Most Olympians would be happy with a silver medal but when you are competing against only one other person silver means:

You lost
You came in last place

Congrats to Queen B for her slim margin victory.
