I haven't blogged in about a week and I need to do a quicky so that I don't lose my place with the HCBCs. However, I really haven't had a whole lot to say this week, so I decided to just document some of the random thoughts that I've been having.....
- Has anybody else seen the Subway commercials for their $5 foot long? Does anybody else find it creepy when they call it a "foot long YUM rocket"?
- In an effort to be "green", or as green as I can be, I purchased 2 Brita pitchers and just drink that water when I'm at home. However, because I'm a little eeked out by tap water, I double filter. I keep one pitcher in the fridge from which I drink from and one pitcher on the counter, which is where I "stage" the tap water then pour it into the fridge pitcher...ergo twice filtered.
- I've bought a lot of wine since I've moved out to California, but I don't really drink much of it. I buy it because I like the labels. It is sorta like how I choose sports teams to root for; whoever has the "pretty" jerseys.
- People in general annoy me and sometimes I have to quote my friend John when I say "I hate people" since he and I used to drive around and say that about all the idiots out there. I don't really hate people, so don't go jumping all over me for the evil thoughts, I just hate how they act. Whatever happened to the Golden Rule?
- I watched the VH1 Tribute rock concert to the Who last night. Wow, what a great band. For those of you who are Guitar Hero aficionados, have you taken up playing the Who yet?
- McDonald's Iced Coffees aren't half bad.
- I went and had my blood drawn this morning for lab work in preparation for my annual check up next week (joy, joy). I need to give props to the girl who drew the 5 tubes: well done. Not only did she not really hurt me but when I commented how quickly the blood was flowing, she informed me that I must be drinking lots of water, which I am, as that aids in making the blood flow quicker. There have been times in the past when I've had my blood drawn and it flowed like molasses. I didn't tell her, that I'd been drinking water because I thought I was going to have to pee in a cup as well, but whatever.
Anyway, like I said, nothing but random thoughts today!!

-I am quite well-practiced at your double filtering method :) And I do have to say that your double-filtered tap water is yum
-we accept labeless wine, especially the red variety. Maybe you could start a wine club? We would pay a discounted rate :)
-I say "I hate people" and I mean it most of the time!
-Yep, Guitar Hero (which you totally need to get) has "The Seeker" on it by The Who. It is one of my faves... more coming on that on the shared blog, I believe.
-Agree on McD's iced coffee. Plus, iced coffee gets me so much more hopped up than hot coffee.

A skilled blood drawer is a precious find. Interesting about the water...I didn't know that...
The other day Melody said to me "How much is a footlong sub". My answer was "I'm not sure exceept I now Subway has a special that some of them are $5"
"Yes mom I know, this is why I asked the regualr price, they advertise it everywhere"
